The programme began with the opening of the documentary exhibition Wild 70s. In Carinthia at the EPIC Gallery. The exhibition opens questions about the wider border area and remains available to visitors until the end of summer.
As part of the Summer Museum Night, evening tours were also prepared through the permanent exhibition Border City. Visitors explored museum content in Slovene and Italian and learned about the history and cultural heritage of the cross-border area in a different atmosphere.
Special attention drew the programme Invitation to Trenčín 2026. Representatives of the Slovak European Capital of Culture presented plans for the coming year and nearly one hundred events that will shape their cultural summer. Visitors followed project presentations, a discussion with GO! 2025 director Mija Lorbek and a screening of a documentary film about the creation of the opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture.
The weekend ended with Music Day at Europe Square, in nearby parks and at Super Osmica, where numerous musicians and creators performed.
Organisers announce that the summer in the EPIC district will continue with music, creativity and international links. Among the announced events are workshops by pianist Alexander Gadjiev, concerts within the festival Nei Suoni dei Luoghi and programmes of the Silvan Furlan Summer Cinema.
At EPIC Café, from early July, Sunday evenings will bring music and wine tastings, aimed at further enlivening social life in the cross-border area.
The European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 project is based on linking Nova Gorica and Gorizia and encourages cooperation between the two cities. The focus remains on overcoming physical and mental borders and strengthening the shared cross-border space.
